Every move is unique -- whether
exporting 300 kilograms of plastic shovels to San Salvador, a
giant Olmec head to Bremen or a container crane to Miami, Translogistic
relies upon experience, transparent communication and above all
common sense to make each shipment a success. Translogistic's
core activities are maritime import and export for both full container
and less-than-container loads. It offers over-land transport and
customs brokerage in support of these activities. Less-Than-Container-Load
(lcl) Export
Translogistic brings
less-than-container loads for export together in the ports of
Veracruz, Altamira and Manzanillo where they leave through consolidation
networks such as Cleve and Zonen, Tropical Shipping, Globelink
and Eurasia. This manner of transport is best suited to small
quantities of cargo where there is too little merchandise to fill
of a container. Various of these cargoes are consolidated in a
container and redistributed through networks of agents. Translogistic
is agent of networks reaching destinations as diverse as Saint
Croix in the Caribbean and Durban in south Africa, maintaining
high standards of reliability whether going to Bombay or to Bremen.
Less-Than-Container-Load (lcl) Import
Translogistic is
the receiving agent for imports to Mexico for these same networks
of consolidation, sometimes as part of a specialist connection
-- as is the case with less-than-container load imports from United
Kingdom with Ocean Express - sometimes as part of a vast web --
as is the case with the steadily increasing imports from Asia
coming in through the consolidators Eurasia and Globelink. Full-Container-Load
Export
Translogistic is
proud to be exclusive Mexican agent for Tropical Shipping, andOcean
Express. Each of these shipping lines
has specialized itself in competing for cargo in different geographical
regions. Tropical Shipping is based in Florida and has specialized
himself in the Caribbean region and Central America. Ocean Express
is a container-owning freight forwarder which has specialized
itself for more than twenty years in trade between Northern Europe
and Latin America.
Translogistic manages
import through the same agencies as it does export; for example,
those coming from the major ports of Northern Europe through Ocean
Express. Translogistic
can also explore the market, using contacts built up over years
to find the best shipping service from any point of origin - worldwide.
Breakbulk
Breakbulk loads are those too big to fit in a container or simply
better suited for uncontainerized shipment, like steel or paper
products. Spliethoff - a Dutch shipping company with its origins
in forestry -- has specialized itself over a span of eighty years
in moving things too big or too bulky to be moved by ordinary
ships. Spliethoff prides itself on a state of the art fleet, moving
with great flexibility, to pick up over-sized merchandise like
yachts and oil rigs or goods in bulk. The transport and stowage
of such items is an art in itself and Spliethoff has made great
investments the past years to maintain a fleet at the cutting
edge of break-bulk transportation.
